CHAIRMAN'S FUND

supporting student development

About

In 2021, two veteran CMAA leaders approached The Club Foundation about creating a fund dedicated to advancing CMAA’s student development efforts. The Chairman's Fund for Student Development was spearheaded by Eric J. Dietz, CCM, CCE, PGA (left) and Mark A. Bado, MCM, CCE (center). Also pictured is CMAA's President and CEO, Jeffrey D. Morgan, FASAE, CAE (right).

They identified a founding group of CMAA chapter and national leaders and solicited their participation to establish the Chairman’s Fund. These funds are managed by the Foundation and used directly to foster Association efforts that further develop, promote, and standardize a pipeline for individuals interested in club management careers. These dollars are critical to our industry’s future and will include funding club internships, supporting manager in development (MID) and other training programs, and advancing student awareness of the club management industry as a vibrant, fulfilling, and meaningful career path.

The Club Foundation’s core areas of funding include a commitment to support the future of the industry by providing resources to students. Currently, the Foundation supports several grants and scholarships that directly aid students and faculty members in the club industry and the Chairman’s Fund has allowed the Foundation to grow that commitment.

This fund quickly grew to more than $1/2-million in total commitments. Thank you to all our Founding Donors!
